How can artificial intelligence be used at work and everyday life?
This course offers an introduction to how artificial intelligence (AI) is used in everyday life and professional settings, with a special focus on Icelandic applications. Participants will learn about key types of AI, their possibilities and limitations, and how to apply AI solutions responsibly.
AI in Practice: "From Global Impact to Local Solutions in Iceland” is designed for those who want to understand how AI works in real-world contexts without needing deep technical expertise.
The course guides you through the evolution of AI, key system types (such as prediction models, conversational agents, and agentic systems), and how these are used by Icelandic companies and institutions.
The course also addresses ethical concerns, data bias, and risks related to privacy and the use of closed-source AI tools.
The course is delivered online and is self-paced, allowing participants to study at their own convenience.
