Would you like to learn about Food safety and Quality?
Safety and professional knowledge in food handling are essential in all food production and service settings. This course is intended for anyone who works, or plans to work, in food processing and handling, such as in kitchens, restaurants, food service, or other roles involving food preparation.
Taught according to a certified curriculum from the Icelandic Centre for Education (Fræðslumiðstöð atvinnulífsins).

• Food microbiology
• Internal control, HACCP/GAMES
• Preparation of menus, product knowledge and food categories
• Increasing healthiness of meals and prepared food
• Shelf life, sensory assessment, product knowledge
• Allergies and intolerances
• Cleaning and disinfection
To equip participants with applying HACCP principles and cleaning methods to ensure food safety and workplace hygiene.
To gain insight into nutritious menus while safely managing shelf life, product knowledge, and food allergies.
Classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays from 17:00–19:00. Participants attend online from their own location. Recordings will be available for those who are unable to attend live sessions.
